Actor to Animator Workflow

STPro Actor and STPro Animator work together to provide a complete character creation and animation workflow.

Users can create custom actors in STPro Actor, render them, and then use those actors directly inside STPro Animator for animation projects.

The Actor-to-Animator workflow helps users:

  • Create custom characters
  • Generate animation-ready actors
  • Transfer actors automatically
  • Use personalized characters in animations
  • Build complete storytelling projects

This integration removes the need for external character creation tools.

The workflow consists of four main stages:

  1. Create a character in STPro Actor
  2. Customize the actor
  3. Render the actor
  4. Use the actor in STPro Animator

Begin by opening STPro Actor from the dashboard.

Users can customize:

  • Head features
  • Body features
  • Clothing
  • Makeup
  • Skin colors
  • Poses

The actor can be modified until the desired appearance is achieved.

Before rendering, users should save their work.

Saving helps:

  • Preserve customizations
  • Prevent data loss
  • Ensure the latest changes are included in rendering

Note

Unsaved actor changes may not be included in the final rendered character.

Always save before rendering.

After customization is complete:

  1. Click the Render button.
  2. Wait for processing to finish.
  3. Verify successful completion in Render History.

During rendering, STPro Actor automatically creates a rigged version of the customized character.

This rigged character is prepared for animation workflows and can be used directly inside STPro Animator after synchronization is completed.

Step 4 — Automatic Animator Availability

Section titled “Step 4 — Automatic Animator Availability”

After successful rendering:

  • The actor is automatically added to the user’s available assets
  • The actor becomes accessible inside STPro Animator
  • No manual import process is required

The system handles asset synchronization automatically.

To use a rendered actor:

  1. Open STPro Animator.
  2. Create or open a project.
  3. Open the asset library.
  4. Locate the rendered actor.
  5. Add the actor to the workspace.

The character is now ready for animation.

Rendered actors can be used for:

  • Storytelling videos
  • Educational content
  • Marketing animations
  • Social media videos
  • Product demonstrations
  • Training materials

Actors behave like standard animation assets within Animator.

Once rendered, actors can be reused across multiple projects.

Users can:

  • Add the same actor to different scenes
  • Use actors in multiple animations
  • Maintain character consistency across projects

This reduces the need to recreate characters repeatedly.

If users want to modify an existing actor:

  1. Open the actor project in STPro Actor.
  2. Make required changes.
  3. Save progress.
  4. Render the actor again.

The updated version becomes available for future animation projects.

Actor synchronization occurs automatically after rendering.

The process:

  1. Render completes.
  2. Actor data is processed.
  3. Asset synchronization begins.
  4. Actor becomes available inside Animator.

This typically requires only a short amount of time.

Possible causes:

  • Rendering still processing
  • Synchronization delay

Solutions:

  • Wait a few minutes
  • Refresh the page
  • Check Render History

Possible cause:

  • Actor was modified but not re-rendered

Solution:

  • Save changes
  • Render the updated actor again

Possible cause:

  • Actor was rendered before saving

Solution:

  • Save progress
  • Re-render the actor

Benefits of the Actor-to-Animator Workflow

Section titled “Benefits of the Actor-to-Animator Workflow”

This workflow provides:

  • Seamless integration
  • Faster production pipelines
  • Personalized character creation
  • Automatic asset synchronization
  • Reusable actor assets
  • Improved animation efficiency

The Actor-to-Animator Workflow connects character creation and animation production into a single streamlined process. Users can customize actors in STPro Actor, render them, and automatically access them inside STPro Animator without manual imports, creating an efficient and professional animation workflow.
